Novak Djokovic joined the Serbian basketball team this Tuesday and was cheered by the crowd in a public square in Belgrade to celebrate his 24th Grand Slam title which made him equal to Margaret Court.
The Serbian basketball team ranked second in the world champions table and was beaten by Germany in the final on Sunday.
During the celebration, Djokovic became emotional, moved to tears and said: “This is a childhood dream come true, because I was once down there celebrating,” the four-time US Open champion said.
He is expected this week at the Davis Cup.
