Released in 2018, Venom’s first opus was a hit, grossing $856 million worldwide on a $100 million budget. The film, which stars Tom Hardy as Spider-Man’s super-enemy, has been granted a sequel in 2021: Let There Be Carnage.

This second episode brought in 506 million greenbacks internationally for a budget of 110 million. If it performed less well than the previous opus (the Covid pandemic partially explains this lower figure than the first), the combination of these two works increases the number of earnings to 1.36 billion.

This jackpot convinced Sony Pictures and Marvel to begin work on a third feature film to complete the trilogy centered around this legendary supervillain.

When is VENOM 3 coming out?

For now, Venom 3 is sticking to its July 10, 2024 release date despite the writers and actors strike that is paralyzing Hollywood. Filming began in Spain at the end of June 2023. Production was stopped in the evening of July 13. Work will resume as soon as the strike ends, but a date has not been set at this time.

VENOM 3 WHO IS HE WITH?

Obviously, Tom Hardy is back as Venom, as is Eddie Brock. Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor were also announced in the cast.

VENOM 3, what will it say?

At this time, we have absolutely no information regarding the plot of this part 3, except that it will definitely be the last for Tom Hardy. On June 16, the actor said that this sequel could be his last appearance as the Marvel anti-hero. The actor also wrote the first page of the script on Instagram.

However, he did not specifically indicate that this was the plot of the third part, a small drawing on the document: a black face with large diagonal eyes, a toothy mouth and a long red tongue ending in 3.

We also see mentions of ‘Kelly Marcel and Tom Hardy’s story’ and ‘Written by Kelly Marcel’, which obviously spilled the beans. Later, he shared the same photo, this time in a story, mentioning Sony Pictures alongside the words “Here we go” and a GIF that says “LAST DANCE.”

Who is directing VENOM 3?

After Ruben Fleischer and Andy Serkis, it’s Kelly Marcel’s turn in episode 3. He wrote the first two opus and also wrote the screenplay for Venom 3 with Tom Hardy.

Will there be Spider-Man?

That’s the big unknown surrounding Venom’s 3rd opus. Will Spider-Man come and greet his best enemy? Everything is possible! Knowing that this episode could be the last of the series, it’s not out of the question that Weaver will come and put his grain of sand in Eddie Brock’s life. We especially remember Venom’s notable transition into Spidey’s world at the end of No Way Home.
