Chile and Colombia drew goalless in qualifying

Chile and Colombia drew goalless on Tuesday evening (12), at the Monumental de Santiago, in the second round of the South American qualifiers. Worse for the hosts, who have only one point in two games. Meanwhile the cafeteros have four points.

The game

The first minutes saw Colombia more intense in attack, surprising the Chileans. Slowly La Roja loosens up and starts to get noticed with some action on the right. The best opportunity, however, came with Echeverría. Outside the six yard area, the shot hits the post. Shortly after, Alexis Sánchez had the opportunity with a low cross. But the pressed shot made it easier for the Colombian goalkeeper to save.

The match was limited to midfield and became more competitive in the final phase. In this way little has been created. Chile launched the attack and, although it was far from organised, it found its target. Maripán receives the ball in the area and finishes it into the net. But VAR intervened and, seeing the athlete offside, the goal was disallowed. In the final minutes it is Chile who has the ball in the match with Valdez. The Colombian defense made the wrong move and the ball was cleared by the midfielder, who let go of his foot and saw Rojas perform a miracle to seal the goalless draw.
