Laurent Lafitte: his favorite movie scene is Louis de Funes!

Laurent Lafitte is currently producing the Netflix series Tapie, in which he plays a controversial French businessman. A role that he talked about on our microphone. On the occasion of the start of the series, we invite you to find out what is the favorite movie scene of the actor, who recently turned 50 years old.

A few years ago, Laurent Lafitte spoke passionately to us about a scene from The Wing or the Thigh. Claude Zide’s cult comedy from 1976 allows us to enjoy a delicious confrontation between Louis de Funes and Koluch.

“There’s a scene that I love and that I’ve been thinking about lately, and that’s the scene from the wing or thigh.”– Laurent Lafitte told us with joy. “Colucci is secretly making a clown. His father, a big industrialist played by Louis de Funes, doesn’t know that his son is a clown and that he’s had this dream since childhood.”

In the sequence in question from The Wing or Thigh, which can be seen in our player above with words by Laurent Lafitte, the clown, played by Collouche, is about to throw water at a man covered in foam. The man who does not know is none other than the father!

“De Funes removes the moss”Lafitte continues with a smile. “He’s very, very angry, and he says to Kolush, ‘So if we send you foam like this, if we send you a cream pie, is that going to make people laugh?’ And Kolush says, ‘Okay, yeah.'” De Funes says. Then he takes a bucket and sends the foam over Kolush’s head and no one laughs.

“I find it super violent”concludes Laurent Lafitte. “And here De Funes leaves, he skates on the foam, and everyone in the circus laughs. I think it’s a very beautiful scene.” The Wing or the Thi was a huge public success in French cinemas with more than 5.8 million viewers.
