After Vasco’s 4-2 victory over Fluminense, this Saturday (16th), in the 23rd day of the Brazilian championship, Cruz-Maltino fans invaded social media to spread messages of confidence. After all, they are certain that their favorite team will not be relegated.
Despite this, Cruz-Maltino is still in the relegation zone, with 20 points, five behind Goiás, the first out of Z4. The Rio team, however, has a match in hand and in this second round they will face the Emerald team again.
This Saturday’s victory came with doses of drama. Vasco opened the scoring in the first half, with Praxedes, but Fluminense equalized at the start of the second half, with Marcelo. Then Cruz-Maltino scores with Vegetti, but Flu equalizes again, now with Lima. At the end of the match Vasco showed their final numbers, with a brace from Gabriel Pec.
