La Rochelle Festival 2023: Happily, Loulou and Follow awarded prizes

The 25th anniversary edition of the artistic festival, which took place from September 12 to 16 in La Rochelle, has come to an end. Open to both industry professionals and the public, the event culminated last night with an awards ceremony that once again highlighted the richness and diversity of the competition.

The jury, led by actress Audrey Fleuro, presented the list of prizes this year and awarded 13 prizes at this closing ceremony, presented by Mate Madenian, as irreverent as ever.

As for series, it’s Follow, a fiction from 13ème Rue created by Victoire d’Aboville, Sophie Dube and Florian Spitzer, which took home the prize for best 52-minute series, and season 3 of French TV comedy Slash Parlement was awarded. 26 minutes in the category. The Spies of Terror (M6) won the award for Best Music.

TV movies haven’t been left out either, after the jury awarded the best unit prize to Drone Games, written and directed by Olivier Abou, which follows a group of young robbers who use drones to carry out their misdeeds.

This year it was Arte that hit the jackpot as the channel won no less than 6 prizes thanks to Loulou and A la Joie. Lulu won Best Screenplay for Géraldine de Margerie, Alice Viall, Marie Lelong and Alicia Pratts, Best Actress for its actress Louise Masin, and Young Promising Actor for Usama Khedami.

The TV movie A la joie took home the best director prize for Jérôme Bonelli. The actors weren’t left out either, after the jury awarded Pablo Paul in the Best Male Performance category, while the Young Female Hope Adam Prize highlighted the talent of Amel Charif.
