Prime Video: How to turn off autoplay?

Prime Video: How to turn off autoplay?

Once you start watching a new original series or an old series that makes you feel nostalgic, it’s very hard to stop. And with streaming platforms making every episode available, watching can go on for hours if you get into the plot.

Especially since streaming services only leave a few seconds at the end of an episode before a new chapter starts straight away. Which is very practical when you are sitting comfortably on the sofa and want to watch the season in one go.

But it’s much less when we want to impose screen time, when we feel sleep deprived or when we don’t want our children to spend a lot of time in front of the TV or computer, especially when it comes to an ultra-popular TV series.

And the Prime Video platform will soon offer two new original series from famous pop culture worlds: The Continental, a series derived from the John Wick franchise, and GEN V, a spin-off from The Boys.

You’ll definitely want to enjoy episodes of these upcoming highly anticipated feature films, so don’t worry, there’s an easy solution to limit your and/or your kids’ hours on the Prime Video platform.

If you don’t like the feature, also called autoplay, you can turn it off entirely on Prime Video.

Nothing is simpler than that. Just hover over your profile icon in the top right corner of the platform’s home page to reveal several options. Then go to tab Accounts and settings.

Then select the tab move. Then you have as the first option Automatic switching on (Described as follows: “The next available video starts automatically. For series, when you finish an episode, the next one starts automatically.”).

All you have to do is check is turned off so that the autoplay function is no longer activated. And here you are free to control your screen time and enjoy watching your favorite fiction and new series Premier video !
