The Brazilian moved up two positions in the rankings

The good run with the quarterfinals at the WTA 500 in San Diego, California, led Beatriz Haddad Maia to move up two positions in the new ranking already published on Sunday evening by the Professional Tennis Players Association.
The São Paulo native scored forty points at 2260 and surpassed Russian tennis players Ekaterina Alexandrova and Veronika Kudermetova who were just below with 2250.
Bia’s tormentor Barbora Krejcikova rose three places and returned to the top 10 with the tournament trophy and reached 10th place with 3220. Aryna Sabalenka remains at the top with Iga Swiatek in second place, Coco Gauff in third and American Jessica Pegula in fourth place. Eçlena Rybakina completes the top 5. In sixth place is Marketa Vondrousova, followed by Ons Jabeur, Karolina Muchova and Maria Sakkari in ninth place.
