In this installment we will see how, after the death of his mother, Sweetthe three Carrasco sisters, High grace, Santa Claus and miraclesthey must learn to live without their guidance and support. High gracethe oldest, is a lab technician struggling to find her place in the world. Santa ClausThe middle one is a struggling chef trying to keep the family restaurant afloat. and miraclesThe youngest is a student with musical talent who is searching for her voice.
As they try to overcome their pain and move on with their lives, the Carrasco sisters must support each other each other and find their own way in an increasingly demanding world.
This fourth installment of the miniseries produced by the Center for Educational Development and Literary Partners with support from the US National Science Foundation aims to build on the strengths of Hispanic families to promote informal science learning.
On power as a transformative element of Hispanics in the United States by La Fuerza de Creer, Michelle López, executive director of The Strength of Latino Familiesa parent education program organized by Literacy Partners stated, “The best way to integrate more Hispanic talent into STEM careers is to start early, and that means engaging families of young children in their native language and culture.”
