‘We sweated so much, it was a disaster’: This scene with Michael Gregorios will probably never be forgotten by this Red Armband actor!

Aired every Monday on TF1, the 4th season of Les Bracelets rouge, which ends tonight, brings a new generation of sick teenagers to the Arakachon hospital, serving the story since the premiere. Season offered in 2018.

Among these ultra-cute new characters is Zoe, played by Esther Blanc, who is hospitalized with a broken arm and accidentally discovers that her medical condition is actually much more serious.

“Zoe lives in a separate world in which only math matters. After her parents disappear, she lives in a bubble, her brother and grandmother encourage her brilliant studies. Her only dream is to get into Oxford and nothing can stop her. Until she gets sick…”Esther Blanc explains.

“The tenacity and stubbornness of this character really appealed to me. The development of this completely ‘proper’ teenage character was very interesting and funny! The way he walks, as well as his words, his naivety, or at least high and sharp. The voice, as well as the incessant flow of his words, is charming for interpretation”.

“It was very, very hot, it was catastrophic”

In Les Bracelets rouge, Zoë is very close to her older brother, Darius, a young intern played by Michael Gregorio, but also to her grandmother, played by Lilene Rovere (Dix pour cent). Two experienced actors with whom young Esther Blanc had a lot of fun playing.

“I especially remember the emotional scene I got to play with Lillian Rover, who plays the grandmother on screen.”– the young actor told us. “It was quite incredible. I had a lot of fear because it was a big emotional scene. But the fact that Lilian gave me the answer made everything easier in the end. It was a really great game, with a real comeback. The emotion from her. Lilian supported me in my game, it it was really great”.

As for Michael Gregorio, he has clearly established himself as a big brother in front of and behind the camera, if Esther Blanch’s statements about him are to be believed: “It was a real pleasure to play with Mikael. I think he really thinks of me as his little sister.”. In the first episode of Season 4, Zoe and Darius especially share a scene in a car. And Esther Blanc has fond memories of the difficult filming of this series.

“It was 50 degrees in that car (laughs)”he recalls at our microphone. “It was very difficult and at the same time very funny, because we laughed a lot with Mikhail. We couldn’t put the air conditioner in the car because of the sound, we couldn’t hear it in the car. On the screen. So. We put it between the paints so that it wouldn’t suffocate, but after a while the air conditioner broke, it didn’t work anymore (laughs) “.

“It was 40 degrees outside, 50 degrees in the car. It was really, really hot, it was hard to bear. We were so sweaty that the make-up artist couldn’t even wipe us off (laughs). It was catastrophic.”.

Esther Blanc is not going to forget this hot day on the set of Red Bracelets. Fortunately, the magic of television meant that the audience didn’t notice a thing.
