One of the most anticipated releases of Netflix in 2023 and the next film by the acclaimed director David Fincher, The killer is starred by Michael Fassbender and marks the first film with the actor’s participation since 2019, when he acted in X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

During an interview with Empire, Fassbender He spared no praise for the film, whose synopsis says: “after a mistake with disastrous consequences, a killer faces whoever hired him and himself in an international hunt. But for him, nothing is personal.”

“This is the kind of film I was salivating to make. It has suspense and intrigue. It takes its time. I love this kind of film,” he said. It is worth remembering how the actor had intense preparation to star in the adaptation of the French comic of the same name: there were 10 weeks of physical training with classes to learn how to assemble a precision rifle.

During pre-production, Michael Fassbender studied the original material extensively, with the intention of “trying to understand the mind of a sociopath.” The artist also explained how “I put together a life to where the character is today.”
