Ian is suspicious of Julie
Julie is getting ready to go to work, but she is very stressed. This doesn’t escape Alex, who tries to calm him down. He insists that it is not his fault that his pass was stolen. He also explains to her that Ian is a good cop and that he has nothing to fear.
Then Julie goes to the hotel. He is waiting for Sylvain to come to the police to give a statement. But it is noticeably absent. He tries to contact her by phone, but she does not answer. And for good reason, it destroyed the SIM card.
Julie learns from the hotel manager that Sylvain paid the bill the night before. Boss takes this opportunity to apologize to Julie for telling the police about her badge. He tries to calm her down. According to him, this story should be resolved quickly, because it tarnishes the reputation of the institution.
Ian continues his investigation at the hotel. He questions the maid, who remembers seeing Julie on the night of the midnight burglary. The policeman then talks to the principal to ask questions about Julie. The latter explains to him that the young woman is highly valued by both customers and other employees.
He portrays him as a trustworthy person. This is the first time he has lost his badge. Ian wants access to Julie’s schedule. But the director explains that it varies by client. He adds that on the night of the theft, Julia finished her shift at 10:15 p.m.
Back at the police station, Ian meets Alex, who tries to find out more about the investigation. Ian points out to his colleague that he is not allowed to talk to him about this. Alex insists, but to no avail. He still asks his friend to be patient with Julie. Ian then informs Becker about the start of the investigation.
He ruled out insurance fraud. Mr. Lejeune has been in this business for 30 years and has a very good reputation. On the other hand, he has another way. He explained that the bartender at the hotel, who is none other than Alex’s partner, claims to have lost the badge used to enter the victim’s room. But Ian does not believe this version. Becker asks to call him in for questioning.
A stressed-out Julie confides in Jade. He wonders if it wasn’t Sylvain who stole the watches. Jade points out that she couldn’t have known because she was the one who came up with the idea to move into the sequel. Julie finds this hard to believe, especially since Sylvain no longer gives her any signs of life. Just then Ian called and asked him to come to the station as fast as possible.
At the police station, Ian leads Julie’s interrogation. The young woman sinks into her lie and convinces the policeman that she returned home after her shift at 10:15 p.m. Ian then tells him that a chambermaid saw him in the hallway of the hotel in the middle of the night. His phone markings corroborate this witness’s version. Ian asks Julie to tell the truth.
