This year, Argentina has already welcomed one million Brazilians

The number of visitors motivates the announcement of new flights between Brazil and Argentina

Argentina has already welcomed one million Brazilians between January and September 2023. The announcement was made during ABAV Expo, a tourism market event taking place in Rio de Janeiro between 27 and 29 September.

A sizable portion of these visits took place during the winter season, when destinations like Bariloche fill up with Brazilians in search of snow.

According to data from the National Institute for Tourism Promotion of Argentina ( Inprotur), the number of Brazilians in the country in June, August and September this year exceeded that recorded in the same period before the pandemic. Already the Bariloche Tourism communicated that hotel occupancy in the period was approximately 95%.

Bariloche Tourism Secretary Gaston Burlon said the goal now is to promote the summer season. The destination has a food festival planned for the next few months Bariloche à la carte, when restaurants around the city prepare dishes using regional ingredients.

Keeping an eye on these movements, Aerolíneas Argentinas announced, again during the Expo ABAV, the increase in the frequency of flights between Brazil and Argentina in the coming summer months. The route to Mendoza from Rio de Janeiro will have two weekly flights. Flights to Cordoba From Rio de Janeiro comes from Florianopolis will take place three times a week. On flights to Buenos Aires, the frequency increases to five on the route from savior and for seven since then Florianopolis.

The airline will also resume its flights between Port of Seguro AND Buenos Aires in April 2024. Initially the route will be carried out once a week, but the idea is to increase it to twice a week in July 2024, for the winter season.
