The price of S-10 diesel in Brazil ended the period from September 1 to 28 at 6.34 reais per liter on average, up 13% compared to August, the Edenred Ticket Log Price Index found on Friday (IPTL).

The national average price of a liter of normal diesel closed at 6.15 reais, an increase of 12%.

Compared to the average of the first fortnight of the month, an increase of 0.48% was recorded for the price of the S-10 and of 0.33% for the common one.

“The increases in the price of diesel have lost strength, but the national average remains above 6 reais… We can identify new increases in the next few days with the restoration of part of the PIS/Cofins rate and reflections on the international scenario which affects the price of diesel fuel,” said Edenred Brasil Mobility General Director Douglas Pina.

Oil prices are trading near the highest values ​​of the year, above $95 a barrel, in the case of Brent, while Russia suspended diesel shipments last week, which affects Brazil, which has the Russians as major suppliers. imported product.

In the case of petrol, the national average price per liter was 6 reais, down 0.33% compared to the first half of September.

“When we compare the national average of this month’s closing with the consolidated figure for August, we still identified a 3% increase in the amount transferred to Brazilian drivers,” Pina said.

Again according to the IPTL, the average of a liter of ethanol closed the period from 1 to 28 September at 3.78 reais, the same price recorded in the first fortnight of the month. Compared to the month of August, an increase of 0.5% was recorded.
