The officer also underwent physiotherapy sessions
A medical bulletin released this Saturday (30th) from the Sírio-Libanês hospital in Brasilia informs that the President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, is recovering well from hip surgery.
The statement notes that the officer “spent the night stalled” and even “walked” around the room in the morning. Furthermore, the PT member underwent “physiotherapy sessions”.
Lula, who underwent arthroplasty surgery last Friday (29th), will remain hospitalized. The surgery, which took place “normally”, lasted just over an hour.
Doctors took the opportunity to perform a blepharoplasty, which is the removal of excess skin above the eyelids.
The president is not yet scheduled to resign, but his health team says it could happen next Tuesday (3).
