The Oscars will be held on Sunday evening, March 27th. Before you wait to find out which feature film will be the film of the year, make your predictions!

The 94th Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, March 27, in the evening in Hollywood. While you wait to find out which movie will star Nomadland’s last year’s big winner Chloe Zhao, we invite you to make your predictions. In 2022, 10 feature films were nominated in the Best Film category. As the film industry continued to suffer from the effects of the pandemic, an increase in the flow of films was felt. Last year Netflix was the highest award-winning studio with seven awards.

Another big favorite this year is Netflix’s film, The Power of The Dog by Jane Campion, with 12 nominations. The feature film has already won Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival, Golden Globe for Best Drama, Best Director and Best Supporting Actor for Smit-McPhee, and BAFTAS for Best Picture and Best Director.

But CODA, an American remake of Eric Lartigau’s comedy, The Bélier Family, may come as a surprise. Indeed, the film, available on Apple + since the beginning of the year, has won numerous awards.

Sean Header’s feature film (Orange New Black, GLOW) has won at least 18 awards, most notably for its adaptation of the screenplay and the Troy Kotsur (who plays father) award at the Distinguished Actors Guild Awards. BAFTA and Critics Choice Awards, among others.

Don’t look for Adam McKay, who came out on Netflix in December, also fighting for the best movie. Still, this year, most of the nominated feature films came out on the big screen: Belfast, Drive My Car, Dune, Licorice Pizza, The Williams Method, Nightmare Alley, and West Side Story.
