OceanGate case: the underwater tragedy will become a film

Confirming several speculations, the OceanGate submarine tragedy, which occurred in June this year, will officially be made into a movie, Deadline reported. According to the foreign portal, the feature film will be produced by MindRiot Entertainment, which is already working on a series of documentaries on the case.

The truth is all that matters. And the world has the right to know the truth, always, and not the salacious bait that is shoved down our throats by those looking for their five minutes of fame. Life is not black and white. It’s complicated. There are nuances.

Our film will not only honor all those involved in the submarine tragedy and their families, but will also serve as a vehicle to address a more macroscopic concern about the nature of media today.

Jonathan Keasey, director of MindRiot.

It’s worth mentioning that there has been a lot of speculation that James Cameron, the director of Titanic, would take on a project about the Titan tragedy. The filmmaker, however, clarified on another occasion that it was not a film of this type, and “it never would be”.
