If you’re a fan of the Marvel universe, you know that it never stops expanding and new things explode once again. After the release of the trailer, Marvels film introduces new and familiar characters, piquing the curiosity of those who follow it and arousing the interest of newcomers to the MCU.

Until the release date, scheduled for November 9th, you will be able to discover everything you need to know before embarking on the new adventures of the film. So, to please and serve all audiences, Olhar Digital provides details about the cast, character traits and plot of Marvel’s latest release.

The trailer presents few details about the plot. What is known is that the film will once again see Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, the young Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau.

With a budget of $220 million, the film is the direct continuation of Captain Marvel, released in 2019 and which grossed $1.1 billion at the box office worldwide.

The narrative of the film The Marvels has as its main focus the trajectory of Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel), who, after freeing herself from the domination of the Kree, will face a destabilized universe. She stumbles upon an enigmatic wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary. However, the story will revolve around the three heroines trying to unravel a mystery involving their special abilities.

That’s because Carol’s powers are intertwined with Kamala Khan, Jersey City’s Ms. Marvel, and her distant niece, Monica Rambeau, now an astronaut at the KNOW Aerospace Station. In this scenario, they form an unlikely trio, but determined to save the universe.

After the events of the Ms. Marvel series, Carol Danvers, Kamala Khan, and Monica Rambeau begin switching places whenever they use their powers, and then team up to find out why.

Returns and news in the cast

In addition to the three heroines, the cast of the new Marvel film also includes Samuel L. Jackson, again in the role of Nick Fury. Jackson has been present in the MCU since the beginning, as he first appeared in a post-credits scene in Iron Man (2008). Since then, he has participated in several productions of the Marvel Universe. Names like Park Seo-joon and Zawe Ashton make their MCU debut, with Gary Lewis, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur and Saagar Shaikh also joining the cast.

The Marvels is directed by Nia DaCosta, the same director of Little Woods (2018) and The Legend of Candyman (2021), with a screenplay written by Megan McDonnell (WandaVision) and produced by Kevin Feige.
