Ibovespa opens with a bearish bias amid rising Treasury yields

The Sao Paulo Stock Exchange opened with a downward bias on Tuesday, tracking the movement in foreign markets, in another session of rising yields on North American Treasuries, with no respite from concerns over a potential interest rate scenario restrictive for a prolonged period in the United States.

At 10:02 am the Ibovespa fell 0.03% to 115,020.08 points. The shorter-dated Ibovespa futures contract on Oct. 18 fell 0.58% to 114,870 points.
