Canceling ‘iCarly’ Reboot After 3 Seasons Failed After ‘Sam’s’ Jennette McCurdy Exits?

It was last July that “iCarly” fans were very excited because after several years, considering the first part of the series, Carly and Freddie were finally dating, but the happiness did not last long.

After 33 episodes and three seasons, the series starring Miranda Cosgrove, Nathan Kress and Jerry Trainor, who play Carly, Freddie and Spencer respectively, is coming to an end, with no farewell episode or special.

Why did they cancel the ‘iCarly’ reboot?

The Paramount+ series will not get a fourth season, and a representative for the streaming platform sent a statement to Variety to explain why the decision was made.

‘iCarly’ will not return for a fourth season on Paramount+. The show had a great three season run and fulfilled what fans wanted to see with Carly and Freddie finally being together. “We want to thank the entire cast, writers, directors and producers, along with the entire team, for their dedication, creativity and talent,” he said.

Fans express their displeasure after ‘iCarly’ season three is canceled

As expected, fans of the show went wild on social media, especially on X (formerly Twitter), because we would finally meet Carly’s mother at her wedding, a character who had never appeared on the show.

“’iCarly’ was canceled after that big season finale. “The studio kept us waiting for years for Carly and Spencer to finally mention their mom and we never get to see her, or learn about ‘Creddie’s’ married life,” one fan wrote.
“After 3 successful seasons, @paramountplus came up with the great idea to cancel season 4 of the hit series #iCarly. And well, why are we so disappointed with this news? Well, because nothing annoys you more than being left with half-assed gossip and now we won’t know who Carly’s mother is. No way, now we’ll have to use creativity and make our own ending,” says another message, showing the final scene of the fic.
