Omar Sy is unrecognizable in Lupine: Is he really playing Raoul’s basketball coach?

In Lupin, Omar Sai introduced us to disguises, each one more original than the last. Sometimes a garbage collector, delivery man, BRI agent or even the king of soups, the third season, released this Thursday on Netflix, still has some very pleasant surprises that should amuse the subscribers of the American platform.

And while we usually always manage to recognize Omar Sy in the guise of a gentleman thief, this new flurry of episodes has left many viewers in doubt.

Is Omar C Rawley’s coach?

In Lupine Part 3, Assanne Diop decides to fake his own death to start a new life far away from France with his ex-wife Claire and son Raoul.

If the thief’s plan goes smoothly, he discovers that his mother, whom he has not seen for years, has been kidnapped by a mysterious kidnapper. To free him, he has no choice but to commit more robberies.

So he decides to stay “dead” in the eyes of everyone except Benjamin, his best friend, who continues to help him with his new plans. Of course, Asan is not ready to leave his family vulnerable. He wants to keep an eye on them to protect them.

He then finds a way to continue being around them while hiding from them that he is still alive. He hides under a set of prosthetics that completely transforms his face and pretends to be Alex, Raul’s new basketball coach.

But is Omar Sai really hiding under these prosthetics? If we could have been in any doubt watching this season 3 of Lupine, as the makeup artist’s work is impressive, it’s definitely Omar Saya in Coach’s disguise.

His face and hairstyle, of course, make him unrecognizable, but his voice, his intonations and his gaze leave no doubt about the identity of the actor who portrays this character. And if you’re looking for more evidence, pay attention to the end credits: Alex’s character is not visible because it’s just a disguise.
