Lupine Season 4 on Netflix: Will the series continue with Omar Sy? The creator answers

Warning, the following paragraphs contain spoilers for the Lupine Season 3 finale. If you don’t want to know anything, move on!

After more than two years of waiting, Netflix released online this Thursday, October 5, the continuation of the adventures of Lupine, the modern thief, still played by Omar Sy, who achieved a spectacular metamorphosis in this 3rd season.

Now a fugitive, Assane Diop decides to return to Paris to make a crazy proposal to his family: to leave France and start a new life. He then pulls off one last grand heist and fakes his own death to get on the police radar.

Unfortunately, an enemy from Lupine’s past resurfaces and kidnaps Lupine’s mother, who has no choice but to follow her instructions to commit another heist.

In the last episode, Asan decides to go to the police and ends up in jail. He then discovers that his cellmate is none other than Hubert Pellegrini, his nemesis from the first two seasons, and that he’s been barely hanging on since the start of Season 3. A final scene that leaves the door open for the season. 4.

Season 4 for Lupine?

Netflix has not confirmed anything at this time. However, co-creator of the series George Kay explained RadioTimes.com that he thought of the finale of Part 3 as an opening for a possible sequel.

“It’s a very open ending that obviously leaves a lot to be explored and raises a lot of questions about who was behind what and how it could have happened.“, he confided.

“This ending is a bit like saying: Did everything we just experienced for 7 hours really happen? We read everything and that’s good. It’s a little creepy. The audience has to think, “Wait a second… but…” It’s a great way to end the season..”

George Kay also assured that Pellegrini will play an important role in the 4th season.I really think Pellegrini will return to the series“, he added.I have no doubt that Pellegrini is behind something.”

“Nothing happens by accident in Lupine. Assane Diop has many enemies, but he only has one sworn enemy!So all that remains is to wait for Netflix to renew the series for a fourth season.
