Mirassol beat ABC 2-1, this Tuesday (10), in the B series of the Brazilian championship. In Frasqueirão, Zé Roberto and Negueba scored for São Paulo, and Thonny Anderson reduced the goal for the Rio Grande do Norte team, following an error by goalkeeper Muralha.
Mirassol opened the scoring after 10 minutes with Chico Kim and Zé Roberto, who completed the ball into an empty net. Eleven minutes later, the naturalized South Korean striker serves Negueba, who unleashes a nice shot from outside the area to open wide.
In the second half, ABC pulled a goal back in the 29th minute, through Thonny Anderson, after an error by goalkeeper Muralha. The former Flamengo player tried to put the ball in after a cross, but let it slip at the feet of the ABC striker, who simply pushed it towards goal.
ABC pressed in search of an equaliser, but were faced with Muralha’s lack of aim and excellent defence. With this result, Mirassol reached 52 points, in 7th place, while the Rio Grande do Norte team is last in the tournament, with 20.
In the next round, Mirassol will face Guarani, at home, on October 20, at 9.30pm. ABC will face Atlético-GO on the 19th at 7pm.
