Lupine breaks all records: Season 3 of the Netflix series is a worldwide hit

A week ago on Thursday, October 5th, Netflix released season 3 of Lupine. Subscribers of the platform have been waiting for more than two years for new episodes of the series hosted by Omar Sai. And we have to believe that this third part did not disappoint, because it quickly broke records all over the world.

A global hit

Since its release, Lupine Season 3 has been viewed more than 11.6 million times worldwide, enabling the George Kay-created series to become the most-watched non-English-language fiction on Netflix between October 2nd and 8th. .

According to Netflix & Chiffre, these spectacular scores make Lupine Part 3 the best start to a new season of an international non-English series on Netflix since 2021, and the release of the first two seasons.

It is also the eighth best run of a new season ahead of Black Mirror and its 6th season and behind the fourth and final season of Sex Education. The third season of Lupine is the most watched series of the week in no less than 44 territories, including France, Germany, Brazil and Turkey.

While Netflix has yet to officially order a burst of additional episodes with Omar Sy, it’s a safe bet that these figures will play a significant role in the decision.

Released online on October 5, Lupine Season 3 allowed subscribers to find the gentleman thief months after the events of Season 2 at the Théâtre du Châtelet.

Now on the run, Assane Diop decides to return to Paris to pull off one last heist that will allow him and his family to start a new life far from France. Unfortunately, nothing will go as planned.

A ghost from the thief’s past undermines his well-laid plan. He then has no choice but to pretend to be dead and use more ingenious costumes to avoid being unmasked.
