HBO. The three letters that have become mythical in the huge and ever-expanding world of serials. HBO for Home Box Office, an American channel that officially launched on November 8, 1972 and became the first paid channel in the country.
First and foremost confidential and protected for Pennsylvania’s indigenous homes, HBO quickly gained notoriety, reaching 100,000 subscribers in 1975, and aired in Fifty States in 1980. The channel multiplied in the late 1980s. Created HBO 2 and HBO 3, then HBO Family in 1996.

The following year it was sex and the city that enjoyed worldwide success.
