The new Daredevil series, titled “Daredevil: Born Again,” will undergo a significant revamp in the coming weeks. According to Omelette, Kevin Feige and other Marvel Studios executives are unhappy with the material shot to date. In September, screenwriters Chris Ord and Matt Corman, along with directors associated with the production, were fired.
Ord and Corman turned “Born Again” into a legal procedural, a far cry from the acclaimed Netflix original production starring Charlie Cox: in this discarded version, Cox would only wear the Man Without Fear uniform in the fourth installment.
Despite the changes, Marvel intends to keep some scenes already filmed, but tries to introduce a new structure to the series.
This reformulation comes in the context of Marvel Studios’ process changes in relation to its television productions. Marvel’s head of streaming, television and animation, Brad Winderbaum, said the plan is to “marry Marvel culture with traditional television culture.”
As for the cast, Charlie Cox will return as Matt Murdock, Daredevil, and there will be the return of Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, Kingpin, and Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, both of whom originally they played these roles in the film. Netflix TV series.
To date, production on “Daredevil: Born Again” has been halted due to the actors’ strike and has been removed from the Disney+ release calendar. There is no premiere date.
