The music series Reusss, hosted by one of SKAM France’s stars, stirred the festival participants with its mix of rap and R’n’B. As for the international competition, the black comedy “Child” burlesquely translates the pain of motherhood and the weight that weighs on those who embark on an adventure. Child (International Competition)

Natasha is 38 years old and does not want to become a mother. He is even desperate to see his close friends and does not want to get rid of the feeling of abandonment. When traveling on the weekends, the baby falls into the arms – literally. He had to get rid of it at all costs, but fate decided otherwise. The young woman does not end her misfortune: she finds that everyone who approaches the child finds death.

With an unusual tone and caustic humor, Children Addresses a still taboo issue: women’s reluctance towards children. Creators Lucy Gamer and Sean Robbins-Grace take on this rare theme by playing horror codes on television, between Rosemary’s baby and the curse. Leading actor Cinead Kusak is excellent.

Baby, soon available on OCS.

Reuss (French Competition)

Series or music movies are a common occurrence among our Anglo-Saxon friends. If this genre is much rarer in France, France TV slash has decided to shake everything up good luckA musical drama that follows Hannah, Maya, and Amber, 3 unmarried friends who grew up in the same city.

When Jamel, Hanane’s older brother, is found unconscious, they begin an investigation to find the perpetrators of his attack. Between spoiled boyfriends, attacking parents and threatening drug dealers, Hannah, May and Amber are just hoping for their REUSSS.

Selecting true UFOs, the series is amazed at its originality and bias. Here the feelings of the characters are expressed through songs created specifically for the occasion, in order to best capture their inner turmoil.

Camped by the Sètes under the sun, three heroines, Charlie Luiselier, Assa Sila (both seen in SKAM France) and Ines Oushau, will have to set aside the innocence of their youth to face the frustration of adulthood.

If the first few minutes can bother you more than once, we very quickly begin this brilliantly choreographed contemporary tale with engaging music.

I’m not a robot (short format competition)

Who is behind those who view and censor violent content on social media? Directly from Quebec, the series Je ne suis pas un a robot takes viewers to the staff office, which is responsible for enduring these images throughout the day. A serious and sensitive topic approached with black humor by creators Charles-Alex Duran and Sandrine Wieger.

The story is told by Marie-Chantal (Genevieve Schmidt), a cat lover who falls into madness after having an affair with a video of animal violence. At first it’s very funny, I’m not a robot, it also seduces me with its weirdness and annoying sides as the story goes on. The program is addictive and very easy to watch thanks to the effective format – each episode of the series is 7 and 10 minutes long.

I am not a robot, it will be available in France soon.
