Created by the Compact to Advance Racial Equity, the 2nd ESG Racial Business Conference will take place in November, in São Paulo, with the theme “Private Social Investments in Education: Axis for Social Transformation.”
The event will discuss the Racial ESG Protocol to measure and combat racism and inequality within organizations, the impacts of racism in Brazil, and solutions for dissolving these cultural, social and economic structures.
The program consists of panels, divided into thematic blocks, and speakers will discuss the importance of private social investments in education to harness social transformation. The conference will also discuss the implementation of the social agenda for public education and parameters for private social investments and racial ESG in the country.
The Pact’s executive director, Gilberto Costa, says the event will serve to broaden perspectives on social transformation.
“We, as an association, strongly discuss, set goals and continuously seek the inclusion of black professionals in large companies and, above all, in leadership positions. However, we still need more centralized visions and immediate and medium-term solutions, as Only then can we create effective pathways to advance racial equity,” he says in a statement.
