Tomorrow Belongs to Us: Alex’s friendship, the Delcours’ future, Chloe’s interrogation… Alexander Brasserie’s trust

In 2017, after the release of Tomorrow, Alex Bertrand (Alexandre Brasser) has had many adventures over the course of six years. But what does the future hold for him?

Alexandre Brasserie, her translator, met with Allocine last September during the La Rochelle Art Festival, and talked about what to expect in the coming weeks.

Allociné: Tomorrow Belongs to Us recently celebrated its sixth anniversary. Do you still enjoy playing Alex after all these years?

Alexander Brasser : To this day, I enjoy playing this character and meeting my partners again. It is difficult to get tired of such series.

There have been many good things this year for the Delcourts and especially for Alex with this male friendship formed with Sylvain (Arno Henriette), Etienne (Patrick Guerino) and Gilles (Laurent Gamelon). In addition, it brings a lot of comedy and emotion. Are you happy that the writers are continuing to write stories around this group of friends?

Yes. Admittedly, Tomorrow Belongs To Us is a very female-centric series. We haven’t heard much about the men except the police. We will say that it was the testosterone man who was brought up. And in fact, men are not just muscles, they are also hearts. I find it nice to see a group of friends enjoying simple pleasures. Plus, it’s pretty mellow and light sequences that give it all a bit of an airiness.

We can really do something interesting with this. I don’t know what the writers are planning for the future, but we can also imagine a little more serious things going on in this group of friends to see how the men handle situations, sometimes a little more. Sensitive. Anyway, I’m glad I can go through it all with this group of friends.

The Delcurs took Diego (Enzo Rose) under their wing. Was it important to integrate the teenager into this family and shake it up in addition to Chloe and Alex’s relationship problems?

quite. This is what I was asked for my opinion on. I jumped on it. I am a fierce supporter of a teenager entering the Delcourt family. We had two, and no less, with Clement Remien and Alice Varela. But we lost them. It was fundamental for me to return the young man. We have little Celeste, but unfortunately she is still too young to play with things. I am very happy that he is here and I want him to stay.

What’s in store for the Delcourt family in the coming weeks?

We will remember the beautiful arch around the Delcourt family. It will be a choir and unifying arch. It leads us down somewhat dark paths, but also into something very bright. And then, we have quite a few prospects to offer. I can’t tell you too much about it, but the future still holds pleasant surprises for us and maybe a big joint battle for the Delcourts.

chloe (Ingrid Chauvin) will undergo a major challenge after the explosion at Agnes Varda High School. Since she’s not going to be the boss right away, help Alex on the farm?

Chloe will ask herself a lot of questions. I don’t know what she will choose to do, but either way Alex will be there to hold her hand.

Can we expect a new recruit at the farm now that Judith is gone and Jordan has retired?

I don’t know, but Bruno Paoletti (Kevin Levy) is potentially the most likely to help Alex. Lets see. Maybe friends will come over and look at the farm or something.

Alisa Varela, Judith’s interpreter, recently left the series. How did you experience this departure?

Like Clement’s departure. I am very happy because they are old enough to look elsewhere and at the same time I am losing people I love. In terms of acting, I would definitely prefer them to stay. Now the doors never close. The characters aren’t dead, so you never know.

Arches of disaster have become a trademark of Tomorrow Belongs To Us. Is it a source of pride for you to be in a series that can produce something like High School Explosion?

It’s a great source of pride, yes. Moreover, I spoke quite freely on this topic recently on my social networks. I said that these two episodes have absolutely nothing to envy for certain premiums, both in terms of quality and market share. Many perks for making the points we do. We should not systematically refer to access series as parallel series.

I think we are very important to the channel and we are doing a good job. We have shown very clearly that we can do very high quality things in a very short time. People want to put you in boxes, but I believe we are among those who break down the walls of the boxes they try to keep us in.

Do you have any wishes for Alex or a topic you’d like him to cover?

I want to continue to develop the hands that he gives to others. I would also like to address the theme of transmission, particularly through the farmhouse. I saw a movie called Pupil and I really liked it. That’s all I could want for Alex’s character. A father who reaches out to needy youth is what I want. I also wish Chloe and Alex had a fight together.

Do you have any side projects for tomorrow?

I will be in front of the cameras of Nathalie Lecoultre because I will be playing in LĂ©o Mattei. I will also be in the France TĂ©lĂ©visions unit on the VendĂ©e Globe with Marie-JosĂ© Crozi. I’m going to play Hope Globe Sailor. During one year, I will travel to France, Belgium and Switzerland to stage a play.
