Mexico took risks from the start, in the 2nd minute, with a shot from Alvarez, saved by Ter Stegen. Shortly afterwards, Gimenez also tries, coming close to the Germany goal. Germany, in turn, opened the scoring in the 24th minute, with a goal from Rudiger. Twelve minutes later the Mexicans left everything the same. Uriel Antuna takes advantage of Lozano’s rebound and ties the game.
At the start of the second half, Erick Sánchez turned the score around for Mexico with a header. However, it didn’t take long and Germany equalized again, after six minutes, through Niclas Fullkrug.
