Neymar will undergo tests in Sao Paulo to assess the severity of his injury

Neymar will undergo medical examinations this Wednesday (18th), in Sao Paulo, to evaluate a possible injury to his left knee. He was injured in the Brazilian team’s 2-0 defeat against Uruguay, leaving the pitch in the first half crying a lot. There is general concern about a possible serious injury.

Previously, the CBF announced that the number 10 would take the exams in Montevideo. However, the body felt that Neymar will receive better and more adequate treatment in Sao Paulo, given that the journey from Montevideo to the capital of Sao Paulo takes only three hours. The champion should therefore arrive in Brazil in the early hours of this Wednesday, together with the team doctor, Rodrigo Lasmar.

“Neymar is in Sao Paulo, so is Dr. Lasmar and they will have tests tomorrow (Wednesday). Nothing will be done here. The flight leaves tonight,” said press officer Rodrigo Paiva, shortly before coach Fernando’s press conference Diniz.

Neymar, therefore, is waiting to know the possible severity of the injury. Great concern from the players already on the pitch, when the player put his hand on his left knee after a tackle with Nicolás De La Cruz. The number 10 ended up blocking his left leg on the ground, in a dangerous position, not even being able to walk after the action. The team doctors took him to the locker room.
