Star + has released the poster and trailer for “Dissonantes”, a new Brazilian comedy that invests in the struggle between pop and rock.
The storyline features Marcelo Serrado (“Crô em Família”) as a frustrated ex-grunge, who sees his former 90s colleagues follow other paths as he sinks into debt so as not to compromise his rocker integrity. The opportunity for a breakthrough comes against him, when a freshman from the television judge, a former musician from his old band, proposes to rent his studio to record an artist in the musical show.
Thati Lopes (“Diários de Intercâmbio”) lives the singer early in her career, convincing retired grunge to put the guitar in her pop. Also, she wants him to perform with her in the contest for the television award, which can get their careers restarted.
“Dissonantes” is written by Mariana Trench Bascos (creator of “Pico da Neblina”) and Pedro Riera (“Clube da Anittinha”), directed by Pedro Amorim (“Divorcio”) and produced by Querosene Filmes.
The premiere is scheduled for June 23 in theaters, before the streaming release.
