The CBF reschedules Botafogo x Atletico-PR for this Sunday, at 3pm behind closed doors

Therefore, the entity will postpone Glorioso’s clash with Fortaleza, scheduled for next Tuesday, in Castelão. This is because playing this Sunday’s match would violate CBF regulations, which require a 66-hour gap between matches.




Understand the case

After waiting an hour, referee Matheus Delgado decided to follow CBF regulations and permanently suspended the match.

“Now we have information from the engineer in charge of the stadium. We are not 100% certain that the lights will come back on. So we were unable to return for those thirty minutes. The match, therefore, is definitely over. The CBF will contact both players club to give information on the continuation of the match,” the referee told the players, before Marçal added:
