He collaborates with them to define his character, Kaï, who is completely imaginary. He aids 47 samurai in their quest for revenge after the murder of their master by a disloyal warlord.
During his struggle in a violent universe, populated by mythological monsters and terrible dangers, this rejected slave will prove to be his most formidable weapon and will become the heroic figure who will give this troop of rebels the energy to mark eternity.

Surrounded by Japanese actors (including Hiroyuki Sanada, Tadanobu Asano, Rinko Kikuchi, Jin Akanishi AND Ko Shibasaki), Keanu Reeves adds a new string to his bow in terms of fight choreography, this time wielding the katana (Japanese sword).
