Disney announced this over the weekend snow Whitethe studio’s new live-action adaptation starring Rachel Zegler has been postponed to 2025. Initially scheduled for March 22, 2024, the change comes due to the Hollywood actors’ strike, which has already lasted for more than a hundred days.
Zegler is best known for her debut role as Maria in Love sublime love, by Steven Spielberg. She also appeared in the recent Shazam: Wrath of the Gods and yet to be seen The Hunger Games: Song of the Birds and the Serpentwhich is expected to hit theaters in November this year.
A snow White is based on Disney’s first classic animated film, released in 1938. Directed by Marc Webb (The spectacular Spider-Man), the film will also feature Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the duo behind it The The Earth AND The greatest showmanto write new songs for the production.
The adaptation is highly anticipated not only because it tells the story of a classic of children’s literature, but because it has none other than Gal Gadot in the cast as the Evil Queen, a character very different from the one she usually plays with Wonder Woman.
More postponements for the strike
Furthermore snow WhiteParamount recently also confirmed the postponement of Mission: Impossible 8 – Second part. The sequence, scheduled for June 28, 2024, was scheduled for May 23 the following year. See the details here!
