Prime Video: Is this beloved superhero series getting a movie adaptation soon?

Its second season airs this Friday, November 3, and a third season has already been ordered. But the animated series Invincible has no shortage of projects, as demonstrated by a special Atom Eve episode airing this summer.

Meanwhile, the superhero series from creator Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead) has been the subject of a live-action film adaptation project for several years.

Delayed by Covid and then put on hold by the screenwriters’ strike, this feature film project doesn’t yet have a shooting date, but remains in active development, as confirmed by an American screenwriter.

In an interview with our colleagues varietyRobert Kirkman thus explained that the writing of the film is still in the early stages. But things can speed up once this scenario is in place “where it belongs”.

Once the script is where it needs to be, then we’ll be in a position that will then allow us to move forward very quickly. (…) We also have to find a way to differentiate ourselves from the animated series and give the film a good reason to exist. There is still a lot of work to be done. But everyone is optimistic.

We remind you that the movie Invincible is developed by Seth Rogen in collaboration with his partner Evan Goldberg. Let us remind you that the Canadian actor and screenwriter is already participating in the animated series Invincible, as he voices the character of Allen Foreigner.

The first four episodes of the new season of Invincible can be seen on November 3rd on Prime Video; The second part of season 2 (also four episodes) will air in 2024.
