M3GAN, Killer Condom and more horror movies so bad they’re great

O Halloween or, as we know it, the Halloween It’s a great date to watch horror films. However, this year, the Rolling Stone Brazil and the CinemaBuzz They wanted to do something different and chose films that were so bad, but so bad, that they ended up being great.

You know those productions that have the complete set to go wrong, be it a terrible story, terrible special effects, horrendous acting or other ghastly defects, but which, in the end, make for great entertainment? So, that’s what we’re talking about. Below, check out a list of four of these horribly wonderful films:

M3GAN (2023)

To start the list, let’s talk about a film that recently arrived in theaters: M3GAN. In the story, a developer creates a super toy, which is a doll capable of understanding and interacting with other children. However, she ends up getting out of control and starts killing everyone who tries to do any harm to the child she is connected to.

M3GAN It’s far from being a bad film, but it had everything to be. It’s almost a version of ChuckyO Killer toy, but on steroids, in which the doll, in this case, takes advantage of the technologies around it to carry out its evil plans. In the end, it worked and M3GAN It is already one of the biggest hits of 2023.

Son of Chucky (2004)

And speaking of ChuckyO Killer toy… The character appeared in 1988 and was a doll, who ended up receiving the spirit of a murderer and continued his activities outside the law even after his death.

Quite trashthe film ended up being quite successful among fans of horror productions and became a franchise, gaining new, increasingly absurd chapters, like the one we would like to include on this list: Son of Chucky.

If a killer doll was already absurd enough, the film released in 2004 featured that same doll married to another doll and, by a miracle of horror films, becoming the father of what is perhaps the first openly non-binary character in horror: Glenwhich is also known as Glenda and did not identify as either a boy or a girl.

In the world of horror films, we have the most classic villains like Freddy, Jason, Chucky, Ghostface and many others, but we also have some unusual villains, such as killer piranhas, killer tomatoes and even killer cars and tires. It is this second wave of bizarre murderers that enters Killer Condom1996 film.

Yes, you heard right: there is a movie about a killer condom and, surprisingly, it’s really cool. The film even criticizes conservatism, which inhibits people’s sexual desires. In the story, a detective investigates the threat of a killer condom, supposedly created to annihilate the “perverts”, in quotation marks, of New York, which included prostitutes and homosexuals.
