Netflix has released the video of the transformation of actor Jamie Campbell Bower into the monster Vecna, the main antagonist of the 4th season of “Stranger Things”.
Shown at accelerated speed, the video reveals the application of layers upon layers of prosthetics to the face and body of the actor, known for his “Twilight Saga” films, who has long been under the care of the makeup department. This is a job that had to be repeated several times during production, each time the Vecna scenes were shot.
The result helped the fourth year of “Stranger Things” become Netflix’s most-watched English-language series season of all time.
Vecna will return in two more episodes of Season 2, which premieres on July 1 and will be the size of a movie. The 8th chapter lasts about 1 hour and 25 minutes, while the 9th and the last one will last almost 2 and a half hours.
