The 8th edition of the La Baule Festival will take place from June 29 to July 3. The festival honors the music of cinema by selecting films aimed at popular audiences.
This edition honors the French composer Alexandre Desplat, who wrote a score for more than 200 films and was awarded 2 Oscars, 2 Golden Globes, 3 Cesars, 3 Baftas and 2 Grammys …
The jury consisted of Melanie Dutt, Pascal Arbilo, Pascal Elbe and Ann Parillo, chaired by Alexandre Astier. He will be responsible for awarding 8 prizes, including Best Picture and Best Picture Music Prize.
In the program of this festival: screening of 6 competitive French feature films, non-competitive films, “Spotlights”, classics in which music plays an important role and musical documentaries.

Bruno Chiche with Maestro (s) Ivan Atal, Pierre Ardit and Miu-Miu at the opening ceremony, without competition, while Olivier Barrow’s new comedy, with the liar Tarek Budal, will be shown at the end of this edition.
Everything will be decorated with concerts, meetings and master classes (by Alexander Desplat and Solay, Alexandre Astier, Pierre Salvador or even Cheki Cario), exhibitions and events.
