Brazilians win four more bronze medals on Pan Day this Friday




Brazil was represented in five different sports during the day of the 2023 Pan American Games this Friday (3). Despite difficulties in the competitions, Brazilian athletes won multiple bronze medals and made progress in the fight for further results in the final days of the competitions. Check out the summary:

KARATE

For the Men’s Group A -60kg, the Brazilian Douglas Brose, who played his last matches before retiring, has made good progress. American Frank Ruiz won (from 3 to 0)Colombian Juan Fernandez (3 to 3 – Senshu tie-break) and Independent Athletes State athlete Pedro de La Roca (from 1 to 0). In the duel for the bronze, he ended up being beaten by the Dominican Larry Aracena (39.7×39.2).

In the individual female Kata, Nicole Yonamine stood out in group B. There were two victories against the Dominican Maria Dimotrova (by WDR)Chilean Isadora Gallo (39.3×38.1)but with a setback against the American Sakura Kokumai (39.7×41.3). ARTISTIC SWIMMING

WATER POLO – WOMEN

The Brazilians will compete for bronze in the classic against Argentina, Saturday 4th at 11am.

FENCING

In the men’s team foil category, the Brazilian trio won the quarterfinals against Mexico 45-34but they were eliminated for Canada in 41-45. In front of the Chileans, something else Bronze he joined the Brazilian team at the Pan American Games, after a great victory 45-36.

In the women’s Team Saber, another defeat. The trio of Brazilians ended up losing to Argentina 39-45. On the ‘path of the defeated’, the Chileans won 45-29and secured 5th place by overtaking the Venezuelans 45-33.

TRAMPOLINE GYMNASTICS

In synchronized gymnastics at Pan, the women’s team reached the final in 2nd place with one score 45,980while the men also ranked 3rd with a rating of 49,140.

In the women’s singles, Aline Gomes placed second in Group 1, with a score of 53,480while in Group 2, Camila Lopes led in 54,590, with both advancing to the final. In the men’s category, Rayan Victor was vice leader of Group 1 with a rating of 57,610.
