Un Si Grand Soleil: What’s next for Hugo and Sabine? The Mysteries of Bibi Tanga and Gaela Le Devehat

Could love be in the air in Un si grand soleil?

Hugo has liked Sabina for several weeks. While the latter is struggling to get over her breakup with Dimitri, the math teacher still decides to have fun and bring some lightness into her life.

After drinking, Hugo and Sabina will spend the night together. But love stories often get complicated in the daily soap opera France 2. Between misunderstandings and misunderstandings, nothing will go as planned. However, is all lost for the math teacher and medical examiner?

At the La Rochelle Fiction Festival last September, Bibi Tanga and Gaela Le Devehat, translators of Hugo and Sabine, spoke to Allocine about the origins of this love story.

Allocine: If there’s a rapprochement we didn’t see in Un si grand soleil, it’s that of Sabine and Hugo. What can you tell us about this story that is currently being written?

Gaela Le Dévéhat : We were pleasantly surprised when we read the script. Before this arch of Bibi I met very little. I really liked Hugo’s character, but I wouldn’t think about it. I really enjoyed playing with him.

Bibi thong : It’s the same for me. Since we’ve been playing together, it’s obvious. That’s why sometimes an outside perspective is important.

Sabina comes out of great disappointment in love. Will he still let himself in this news or will he hold back?

Gaela Le Dévéhat : There’s a real attraction between the two because there’s a kind of obviousness. Then it’s pretty funny because it’s in a romantic comedy tone. Suddenly there is a misunderstanding, which is actually very funny to play. Sabine emerges from a complicated history, she wants fun and lightness, but at the same time, she feels that there is something more intense that captures her. He is happy but also a bit wary because he had a big fight with Dimitri. Although I think he is cautious, there is a much stronger attraction behind it.

Hugo is tempting, is this story serious for him?

Bibi thong : Hugo finds love with Sabina. This is new for him.

After being disappointed in love, Sabina lost her trust in men. I imagine that might be a hindrance to their story?

Gaela Le Dévéhat : He knows it perfectly! He says it’s just a one-night stand. He will be careful and walk on eggshells.

Bibi thong : There will be moments of misunderstanding between Hugo and Sabine and some misunderstandings. Hugo will have to work hard to get Sabine to trust him.

Gaela Le Dévéhat : Everything is clearly related to what she experienced with Dimitri. Sabine blames herself for not seeing anything. It is a mixture of many things. He is vigilant, but especially in relation to himself. He holds back a bit, but Hugo is able to pick him up.

Ian and Johanna are Hugo and Sabine’s best friends. What roles will they play in this story?

Bibi thong : They will be kind!

Gaela Le Dévéhat : They will be attentive to what is happening around them. Maybe even a little too much (laughs).

In addition to this love story, Sabine faces some tension with her father, whom she accuses of hiding the truth about Dimitri from her. Will he be able to forgive her betrayal or will the road to forgiveness be long?

Gaela Le Dévéhat : This lie was the straw that broke the camel’s back, especially with Claudine. Sabine’s world was shattered. I think this story deconstructs it to better reconstruct it. He experiences a form of emancipation in which he takes a little more responsibility for himself, especially towards his father. I think it will take some time. This lie is the most painful for him. Much more than Eve or her mother. This is probably the lie that will hurt him the most and be the hardest to swallow. But they will meet again. I won’t say under what circumstances, but it doesn’t bother me.

Hugo is still on the florist trail and has even started training in criminology. Will she start to suspect Kristoff?

Bibi thong : It will be sports (laughs). From everything we’ve already shot, it’s really not bad. There will be a suspension. This will continue for a while. The interesting thing is that a friend does not really see his friend. She realizes that he is describing someone who might actually be her friend, but she doesn’t see it. Even in the discussion with Cecile, she does not yet see that the florist and Christophe are the same person.

I imagine there’s still a little personal satisfaction for Hugo that the police have finally figured out that a serial killer is running rampant in Montpellier?

Bibi thong : It’s a relief for him because he’s going to be taken really seriously, whether it’s the judge, Ian, Manu, or Commissioner Becker. Everyone starts defending their theory. This is really a great satisfaction for him.
