Fluminense’s top scorer was ranked top scorer in the continental competition
The Fluminense fan knew that the chance to win the Libertadores title was in the hands of the German Cano. The Italian top scorer paved the way for the 2-1 victory against Boca Juniors this Saturday, 4th, at the MaracanĂ£.
“Absolute happiness. What we are experiencing is historic because we didn’t have this cup. We drew the line from the beginning [a Libertadores], come here and win, we are just winners. Boca is a very difficult rival, congratulations to them too”, celebrated Cano.
With the goal against Boca Juniors, Cano closed the competition with 13 goals, making him the competition’s top scorer in this edition.
In terms of comparison, the entire Boca Juniores team scored 13 times in the entire competition.
