If you missed The OA, which was unfairly canceled by Netflix, its creator, Brit Marling, is back with Murder at the End of the World. The premise is simple: an abandoned place in the middle of nowhere, a billionaire, his guests and a murder. The square reminds you of Agatha Christie’s famous novels.
It must be said that “whodunit” – a literary and cinematic genre that can be translated as “Who did it?” In French – it has never been as popular as it is today. There are Hercule Poirot films reviewed by Kenneth Branagh, but also Knives with Daniel Craig.
Here, Emma Corinne – revealed in the series The Crown thanks to her interpretation of Princess Diana – plays a hacker, Darby, who will lead an investigation to find the culprits. On screen, the actress looks completely transformed, with a much more punk look reminiscent of Lisbeth Salander’s character from the Millennium Saga.
Next to him we find Clive Owen, Harris Dickinson, Alice Braga, Jermaine Fowler and even the creator. British Marling who plays one of the suspects.
