Back to the kitchen! Bear will soon be back in the kitchen with a carefully crafted third season ordered by FX/Hulu. In France, the series airs on Disney+, which is spreading the information. The comedy-drama about life in a Chicago restaurant with a charismatic and neurotic chef will return in 2024.
Hopefully Chef Carm (Jeremy Allen White) will come out of the fridge and the actors’ strike will be over so production can begin. Created by Christopher Storer, the series stars Jeremy Allen White as Carmi Berzato, as well as Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebir, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce and Lisa Colon-Zayas.
Matt Matheson, who is a real-life chef, has been promoted to a recurring role for season two, while Edwin Lee Gibson, Corey Hendricks, Oliver Platt, Jon Bernthal, Jose Cervantes, Richard Esteras, Carmen Christopher, Chris Vitaske, Joel McHale, Jamie Lee Curtis, Gillian Jacobs and Robert Townsend all made the mistake at one point. In a very short time, the Bear has become an essential meeting place for guests.
An almost instant success
The first season of The Bear follows Carmi, a young chef from the culinary world who returns to Chicago to run the family’s sandwich shop after her brother commits suicide. Carmi must come to terms with the realities of running a small business, her stubborn and selfless kitchen staff, and strained family relationships, all with the impact of her brother’s death.
The second season will follow the members of the brigade as they turn their somewhat shabby restaurant into a high-profile place. As they strip the restaurant down to the bare bones, the team members embark on their own internal journey down the path of transformation, each forced to confront the past and think about what the future might look like.
Of course, the only thing difficult about running a restaurant turned out to be opening a new one, and the team had to juggle the insane bureaucracy of permits and contractors, as well as the beauty of creative menu planning, which was sometimes agonizing.
The transition also focused on hospitality. The entire staff was forced to work together in new ways, pushing the limits of their abilities and relationships, and also learning what it means to be of service, both to customers and to each other.
The first season, which premiered in June 2022, is currently nominated for 13 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series at the awards show scheduled for January. The second season, which aired from June 2023, consisted of ten episodes, compared to the first season’s eight. The number of episodes for the third season is unknown.
