16 years after the film adaptation of Frederic Begbeder’s book, 99 Francs, Jean Dujardin and director Jan Koenen will reunite for The Shrinking Man. This is a new adaptation of Richard Matheson’s science fiction novel, which already created the Jack Arnold classic, which was released in 1957.
After being exposed to radioactive contamination, a man is shocked to see his body shrink in size until it measures just one centimeter. So much so that he becomes the prey of a cat and then a spider. He must fight to survive while facing a diminished sense of identity.
According to varietyThe Shrinking Man will begin filming in May 2024. This is the second time Jean Dujardin Diminished for film purposes after Laurent Thirard’s romantic comedy Un Homme à la Haute, released in 2016.
The actor, who won an Oscar for his role in The Artist, will soon don the Zorro costume for the France 2 series.
