Woman kills a man in a public toilet in Porto Alegre

According to the investigations, the man had already reported assaults by the woman on previous occasions.

A 35-year-old transsexual woman was arrested after killing a 42-year-old man, last Tuesday (7), in a public toilet in the Tristeza neighborhood, in the south of Porto Alegre. According to the Civil Police, the two lived on the street. The Homicide Division is investigating the case.

The victim’s body was found by the teams called around 7 in the morning, inside the public toilet in Praça Comendador Souza Gomes. He had injuries which indicate they were caused by a knife, which has not yet been located.

The suspect, the victim’s companion, was found and arrested in the act around 12.30pm the same day. Police did not say whether he had already made a statement.

According to the investigations, the man had already reported assaults by the woman on previous occasions. The suspect has a history of threats, personal injury, damage and theft. The reasons for the crime are still being ascertained and the names of the people involved have not been released.
