Gladiator 2 is Pedro Pascal’s priority and could delay The Last Of Us

This week the Hollywood strike ended and productions that were at a standstill are in full swing. One of them is Gladiator 2, which is scheduled to premiere in November 2024. The film is a priority for Paramount and one of the reasons is actor Pedro Pascal.

According to information from the website Deadline, the sequence is at the top of the list of works that Pascal wants to deliver and could have an impact on other productions in which he is involved.

For those in a hurry:

About Gladiator 2

In Gladiator 2, Paul Mesca plays Lucius, nephew of Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix). The character decides to become a gladiator instead of inheriting the Roman throne when he was still a child. The sequel is set 25 years after the events of the first film, in which General Maximus (Russell Crowe) becomes one of Rome’s strongest and most skilled gladiators.

As production progresses, the film brings together a cast that promises to make a splash in Hollywood. The team of actors already includes Denzel Washington, Barry Keoghan, Joseph Quinn and the return of Connie Nielsen. Pedro Pascal joined the group in May and no detailed information about his role in the work has been released.
