Palmeiras has two concerns to manage in this final stretch of the Brazilian championship. Moreover, Luan and Piquerez underwent tests which confirmed physical problems. While the defender suffered an injury to his right thigh, the left back suffered swelling in his left thigh.
The two were injured last Saturday in the 3-0 win against Internacional. However, the diagnosis was made this Monday (13).
As for Piquerez, the edema was decisive in not being called up by the Uruguayan team in the next qualifying matches of this FIFA date.
Since it is not an injury, Palmeiras believes that the full-back will be able to play against Fortaleza, in the return of the Brasileirão, on 26 November.
However, Luan’s situation deserves more attention. After all, there is no return period.
