At Palmeiras since 2018, Weverton is enjoying his second season with more matches for the club

Goalkeeper Weverton is the Palmeiras player with the most time on the pitch this year, for a total of 6,358 minutes. In 2023, Verdão’s number 21 will play his second season with the most matches for the club since his arrival in 2018.

Weverton is enjoying his second season with more games for Palmeiras. He currently has 64 games available and can reach a maximum of 68 games, given that there are four rounds left until the end of the Brazilian championship.

This number is therefore the basis of the score obtained in the 2020 season, when the goalkeeper made 70 appearances, which is his record, since he arrived at the club in 2018, and in 2022, when he entered the field on 60 occasions.

In his debut year, Weverton played 37 games. In the following season, in 2019, the goalkeeper entered the field 52 times. Meanwhile, in 2021, the number 21 played 48 games.

In 2023, until then, Verdão’s number 21 has played 15 matches with the Campeonato Paulista, six with the Copa do Brasil, 31 with the Campeonato Brasileiro, 11 with the Libertadores and one with the Supercopa do Brasil.

So far he has played 33 games without conceding a goal and could surpass the milestone of 2020, when he went 34 games without conceding a goal.

The goalkeeper returns to the field with Palmeiras on Sunday 26 November, when the team will face Fortaleza, at the Arena Castelão, in the 35th matchday of the Brazilian Championship.
