Redo Kaamelott in LEGO
Created by Alexandre Astier, Kaamelott it is first and foremost a cult series. But capitalizing on the enthusiasm of a solid fan base, the author has developed his universe through different mediums. First there were comics, then films, Kaamelott: part one (2021) which we await the sequel to. Added to this is a Funko Pop of King Arthur and There could be a LEGO version soon. At least this is what a fan who, himself, wants to offer he created an impressive set reproducing several characters from the series and famous settings.

We owe this project to Thomas Maguer (under the nickname Lincoln SixBricks), 40 year old architect that he wanted to share”this series that his children love“. Answering our questions, the man of Breton origin, and now settled in Australia, explains to us that he “he began building the castle with mismatched Lego pieces“before thinking about”a real set with the characters“. Then he had to do it between six and eight weeks (I work on it in the evening), to design this set Kaamelottnow subject to LEGO ideas.
The platform allows anyone to build a LEGO set and propose it for marketing. If the project receives 10,000 votes and LEGO validates it, the box will be created and sold.
Thomas Maquer also told us that he tried to contact Alexandre Astier, but “remains unanswered to dateTwo fans, however, reassured about the interest that the author could have in his proposal:
One fan told me he loved Lego, another assured me he showed him the project and thought it was cool, but I have no confirmation.
Details of the set
The description on the site specifies that the set is “designed like a movie set with open (or opening) walls and a mobile platform to record fragments of episodesAmong the sets in the series we find:
- The Throne Room, where Arthur receives complaints (and sometimes even gets angry)
- The dining room, a place of lively discussions between the king and his in-laws
- The Bedroom, where we exchange ideas calmly and serenely
- The Tavern, meeting place of Perceval and Karadoc
- The Forest, in which it is not easy to distinguish North and South
- And the Round Table, a place of productive and passionate meetings…

If from these elements you feel the desire to stay close to the series Kaamelottadded Thomas Maguer winks that fans will definitely recognize:
- The discus thrower brought from Rome to the bedroom (although we have to see… A rush)
- The map that smells of feet, on the camping table in the woods
- The cat on the bed, or rather Merlin during cat week
- The shark’s tooth forgotten at the tavern
- The catapult, in the courtyard (although… It’s not that simple). It should also be noted that it is a real catapult, with non-fixed movable wheels, designed to be able to launch Lego pieces thanks to a system of counterweights and a pendulum held by a cable.
- The girl who, as everyone knows, is well hidden.
- And last but not least, the Grail itself! Buried in a corner of the woods… Unless it’s actually a can of anchovies?

Finally, in terms of characters, the creator offers about fifteen (first twelve, then three after an update) including King Arthur, Perceval, Karadoc, Lancelot, Guinevere and Merlin. In total, This set represents almost 3000 pieces.
